Dr. Reminick will discuss the topic of "Technology Solution to Optimize Residency Video Interviews". Participants will hear a short talk regarding using the Thalamus interview management platform to support virtual interviews for the 2020-2021 ERAS residency application season. The session will highlight key features and include a demonstration of the virtual platform as part of the APGO & CREOG Grant Project. Fred Fishback will discuss the topic of "Asynchronous Program Showcase and Interviewing". Offering up to 5x the efficiency of synchronous interviewing, asynchronous is slowly gaining traction as a viable, “schedule-free” method to not only showcase your program but learn about applicants suitability to your program. Like most novel technologies, we are rapidly learning what works and what doesn’t. This presentation will not only offer some best practices for asynchronous interviewing but will provide insights on what to avoid through some hard-learned experiences.
